Their courses are accredited by the National University of Ireland, Galway, with up to 9 semester credit hours or 18 ECTS available. The Achill Archaeological Field School also offers one and two week Introductory and basic courses suitable for students or anyone with a keen interest in archaeology. A programme of evening lectures by invited guest speakers on subjects relating to cutting edge research of history and archaeology is held at the Field School on selected Tuesdays during the summer.
