Douglas Golf Club is a very flat, parkland course. The views from the clubhouse are some of the most panoramic in the country.
The course was redesigned in 1997 by Peter McEvoy with the intention of utilising land and of making the course more challenging for all and to allow it to be set up to seriously challenge top players at all times. Consideration was also given to testing all handicap ranges and these objectives have been well and truly achieved.
All greens and tees have been built to USGA specification (on sand/peat medium) and the construction method has produced excellent putting surfaces with 12-month playing conditions.
Douglas Golf Club has a reputation for being a very friendly club and visitors can be assured of a Céad Míle Fáilte - however bookings should be made in advance. Douglas is a non-metal spikes course.
