Gael Linn offers an excellent opportunity for adults to learn Irish in relaxing surroundings this summer. The courses take place during July and August in the Donegal Gaeltacht, Gaoth Dobhair.
The area is one of outstanding natural beauty, surrounded by the Donegal Mountains, the most notable of which is Errigal and it’s coastline varies from wild rocky headlands to some of the finest beaches in Ireland. One of the aims of the course is to show that the language is alive, vibrant and relevant to all aspects of modern life. So, leave all the work related stress at home and head for the craic and beauty of Donegal as Gaeilge of course! Courses are totally conversational and cater for different levels of ability.
Formal classes will be held each day with the afternoons free to avail of the many leisure activities available locally and organised events most evenings. Gael Linn’s Gaeltacht Courses are recognised by the Department of Education and Science as in-service courses for primary school teachers under Rule 58. They satisfy the requirement that primary teachers trained outside the State must attend a recognised course in the Gaeltacht.
