Headfort's Old Course is one of the finest examples of a long established, mature challenge, with its large selection of trees gracing the fairways and excellent greens. Established in 1928, the old course, formerly part of the Headfort Estate, was developed into an 18 hole course in 1956. Visitors from all over the world enjoy the experience of playing Headfort's old course. “This is potentially, the most attractive 36 hole parkland facility in the country,” according to Dermot Gilleece of the Sunday Independent.
