A Blue Flag Beach is located at Banna Beach, Ardfert, County Kerry. Stretch of beach lining part of Tralee Bay which has a place in Irish history for its ill-fated landing of arms by the executed Sir Roger Casement in the run-up to the 1916 Easter rebellion.
Blue and Green Flag Beach Awards take place each year in early June.
