The Ennis Book Club Festival, in association with Clare Library, is a celebration of reading on the first weekend in March each year.
Taking place in Ennis, County Clare, this is a unique literary and social gathering for book clubs and book lovers everywhere.
Here, participants can share their reading passions, meet their favourite writers and have a weekend break with friends in one of Ireland’s most picturesque towns.
The varied programme features readings from internationally renowned authors, lectures, workshops, walking tours, tips on approaching new reading material, exhibitions, chocolate tastings and more.
Over the years the festival has attracted wonderful authors and speakers, including Edna O'Brien, Nuala O'Faolain, Roddy Doyle, Anne Enright, Lionel Shriver, Joseph O'Connor, Paul Durcan, Peter Sheridan, Paul Murray, Anne Enright and Patrick McCabe to name but a few.
