Murvagh Beach is a long sandy beach, which is calm and sheltered due to its location.
During the bathing season, which runs from June until the end of August, the beach is lifeguard patrolled and these times are posted on the information notice boards at the beach.
There are extensive dunes, which lead into Murvagh forest. The forest and the dunes have many open spaces, making it perfect for ball games.
The beach is cleaned on a regular basis; daily in the peak season and there are sufficient bins, which are emptied regularly.
