With soft, golden sand and exceptional views, Rossnowlagh is very popular with both local residents and tourists.
The surf here is perfect for beginners and the local surf school offers tuition and equipment rental. As well as surfers, this beach also attracts walkers, swimmers and sailors. Rossnowlagh Beach is cleaned on a regular basis, daily in the peak season and there are sufficient lifeguards or lifesaving equipment to ensure response to an emergency anywhere on this Blue Flag beach.
The Blue Flag for beaches is only valid during the bathing season, which runs from June until the end of August.
