Recommended by the Craft Council of Ireland as the leading craft and design outlet in the country, this unique centre of excellence is housed in The Dock. This beautiful 19th century building is located in Carrick On Shannon, overlooking the majestic River Shannon.

The former courthouse has been wonderfully restored into Leitrim's first integrated centre for the arts. Representing over 250 artists working in ceramics, glass, paper, wood, textiles, metal and jewellery, the Leitrim Design House offers its visitors the very best in design, contemporary craft and visual art.

A window for Irish contemporary craft and design, this unique showcase represents the face of Irish creative expression and thought.

The gallery hosts two major exhibitions each year: one in the autumn, with a strong educational angle, and one in the spring, intended to be visually stimulating with something to appeal to all tastes and budgets.

Solo and group exhibitions are offered to invited artists who can challenge, educate and initiate a response or connection with their audience. The Leitrim Design House offers an exciting exhibition calendar, a growing educational programme and a commissioning service.
