There is always something interesting going on at The Apple Farm. Right through the summer you will find us taking care of and harvesting our luscious soft fruits; strawberries, raspberries, sweet cherries and plums. These are just the tastiest fruits you can imagine, grown naturally in the soil, and harvested when perfectly ripe, just as nature intended. If you have never tried fruits this good; so good that you can't stop eating them, then it's an experience you need to try. We have ready-picked fruits for those on the move, and pick-your-own is available when the weather is good and the fruits are ready.

Into the autumn, when the plums are finishing, our apples are just maturing. We have a range of more than fifty different eating apples, including traditional Irish varieties, harvested almost every day from August until November. We also have old-fashioned Bramley's, which have a sharp citrussy and juicy flesh which cooks to a soft puree, making them ideal for inclusion in a typical Irish Apple Tart encased in buttery pastry, or for some fabulous sauce to go with a crackly crisp joint of Roast Free Range Pork.

Right through the winter you can see us making our juices, natural and sparkling, which takes place right on the farm. Award-winners every one, having collected Bridgestone's, National Fruit Show Awards (UK), and an Irish Food Awards Silver Medal too.

For the food connoisseur who wants more than fruit and juice, our farm shop stocks a small range of additional local produce, including apple tarts, balsamic cider vinegar, Irish apple brandy, locally produced Bay Lough cheese and a little cider. A little something to take away with your memories when you leave.

The Apple Farm is open all year round, until 6pm in winter, and until 8pm in summer. Call in, take a walk around, try some of our produce, and relax. Ample parking available.
