As we’re sure you know, Dublin now has its own state-of-the-art light rail system which services the city and its outskirts. Cool, clean, comfortable and extremely easy to navigate, the red line takes you from Tallaght to Connolly Station, while the Green line brings you from Sandyford to St Stephen's Green.
This is a hassle-free way to travel to and from the city centre. And park and ride facilities are located at Balally, Stillorgan, the Red Cow and Tallaght for example, so if you’re visiting Dublin for the weekend, it might even make sense to leave your car here. You’ll have no problems getting to where you want to go by public transport and you’ll avoid all the traffic and hassles with parking. The Luas Docklands, the extension of the Luas Red Line to The Point Village and the 02 arena, opened for passenger services in December 2010.
