Five times Tour de France winner, Bernard Hinault, will be the special guest at the Tour de Conamara, the Irish leg of a new international cycling sportive in May 2012. The Irish event will be held on Sunday May 27th in Clifden Connemara, with the option of 140km and 80km routes.
A 14km Family cycle and free kids cycling tuition will be hosted on Saturday 26th, making it a cycling weekend with something for everyone. The event is the first mass cycling event to take place in the Connemara region and offers route options for cyclists of all abilities.
Participants who register for the Connemara event before April 2nd will also receive an event rain jacket. The Celtic Series Warrior package will provide participants with access to all four events in the 2012 Celtic Series and a special edition jersey & bib shorts.
