Home to the Gregory Peck Award, guests have included Gabriel Byrne, Saoirse Ronan, Sarah Miles, Sir Alan Parker, Cillian Murphy, Maureen O Hara, Jean-Jacques Beineix, Stephen Frears & Jim Sheridan.
Dingle has been described as 'the most beautiful place on earth'. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, an Irish language community with a wonderful tradition in the arts, Dingle is home to many filmmakers, one of Ireland's only independent cinemas, The Phoenix, built in 1937 and is a known film location and a major tourist destination.
A recent feature documentary, 'We'll Always have Dingle' has been made about the festival by Grammy Award winner, Geoff Wonfor.
There will be a full day film seminar with producer Ned Dowd on March 15th. He has been involved in major film production for the past 35 years. He now presents this seminar on producing and being a producer. It's also an opportunity to meet the man behind some of the greatest films to ever hit the big screen.
