13 - Monday 21 August 2017
Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is a huge annual celebration of Ireland's rich and vibrant cultural traditions, featuring a range of events for anyone with an interest in traditional music, singing and dancing.
For one week every August, the very best of traditional talent from all over Ireland and the world comes together to meet, to compete, but, most importantly, to celebrate all that is best in Irish music song and dance.
The first Fleadh Cheoil took place in 1951 and has grown to a festival that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors for 9 days of entertainment, participation and enjoyment.
Ennis and Co Clare are steeped in the musical tradition of Ireland. The rugged beauty of West Clare and the more gentle landscapes of East Clare complement that vibrant cultural tradition in a mystical way.
Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann will feature more than 400 events throughout Ennis and Co Clare, many of them free of charge such as concerts, céilís, exhibitions, lectures, street performances, hundreds of sessions and much more.
In between events, one can enjoy the natural beauty and attractions of Co Clare, including The Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle and the world renowned Burren National Park.
If it's music you want, get to Clare for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
