St. Patrick’s Festival in Longford is organised by Longford Chamber of Commerce and sees a further expansion with a programme of events spanning 3 days and involving all ages and cultures. Events commence on Friday 16th March and run through until Sunday evening.
• Friday 16th March: Ceilí le Cumann na BhFiann in the Temperance Hall
• Saturday 17th March: Longford Parade starting at 12.30pm - Theme 2012: 'Water is Life'. It will also include an Intercultural Section with an Intercultural Showcase after the parade for all to enjoy
• Sunday 18th March - (Mother's Day): A special Intercultural Mass in St. Mel's Centre @ 11.30am followed by a specially designed & themed dinner in the beautiful Viewmount House at 12.30pm This lunch will have a wonderful inclusion of music, song, AV and the historical society to make it an event to remember - Tickets €35 and limited to 60 available.
