Traditional Culture Festivals
Rose of Tralee International Festival
16 - Tuesday 22 August 2017
The Rose of Tralee International Festival is one of Ireland's largest and longest running festivals, celebrating 58 years in 2017.
The heart of the festival is the selection of the Rose of Tralee which brings young women of Irish descent from around the world to Co Kerry for a global celebration of Irish culture.
The Roses take time to visit various attractions in Tralee and other parts of Kerry, and can be seen at parades that take place during the festival. During this time the town is transformed into a carnival atmosphere by day and on into the night.
Other attractions include family and children's entertainment, a fashion show, live music and concerts, fireworks, workshops, markets, circus, a fun fair, air display and Rose parades.
