Situated in the North Monaghan village of Scotstown, the Scoil Cheoil na Botha music weekend provides a feast of traditional music and culture.
Encompassing music workshops, music sessions, concerts and ceili dancing, the festival provides fun for all the family.
Now in its 6th year, the festival has enticed world-class traditional artists, such as Frankie Gavin, Noel Hill, Mairtín O'Connor, John Carty among others to perform at the festival. Indeed, such has been the growing reputation and awareness of the festival that visitors from as far afield as France, Germany and even Peru have travelled to the Sliabh Beagh region to sample the native culture in an intimate and welcoming setting.
