When you first scan the title of this new exhibition at IMMA, you may think you’re going to a production of Sean O’Casey’s iconic play, The Plough and the Stars.
Looking closer though, you may notice that it’s a different kind of star that this production is looking at. These stars are something altogether more deathly and combustible.
Travel the cosmos, question life after death, and wonder about time and chronotopes as you engage with work by the Palestinian artist, Yazan Khalili, Italian artist Riccardo Arena, and Richard John Jones, alongside artists from The Centre For Dying On Stage.
The Plough and Other Stars is going to be a thought-provoking, impressive, and philosophically challenging exhibition. Drink it in at IMMA.
