The Trim Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is a spectacular colourful event, suitable for all ages. Stunning special shape hot air balloons like Sonic The Hedgehog, Darth Vader (and the storm troopers), Easter Bunny, Bunches of Bananas, Thomas the Tank Engine to name but a few, will attend, along with regular shaped balloons. Lots of other aerial activities are planned including, paraglider displays, skydivers, kites (including the Sesame characters).

Ground activities will include static displays of some of the special shape balloons, children's entertainment including storytelling, Punch & Judy shows, face painting, balloon modelling, egg and spoon races, street performers, clowns, Easter Egg hunts, archery, it's a knockout, etc. Many activities will be in marquees in case of inclement weather. For the Top Gear fans we will have the Top Gear experience simulator (drive around the Top Gear test circuit in a Bugatti Veyron.

There will be a ferris wheel, antique carousel, magicians, jugglers, extreme trampoline, dodgems, etc. There will also be craft village, artisan food markets and concession stands. Plenty of activity to keep you occupied all day, every day. Balloon flights will take place (weather permitting) at 8am and 6.30pm. A spectacular night glow, with laser lights and fireworks, will take place on the Saturday evening.

Free parking will be available immediately adjacent to the event. The location is spectacular, with the historic Trim Castle and the river Boyne forming a stunning backdrop. Visitors will be issued with wrist bands so they can come and go as they please to take a tour of the castle, go dining, visit some of the pubs and shops in Trim, as the event is within the town boundaries. Parking for the disable will be available on site. There will be adequate clean portaloos around the site.

Admission is €10 per adult, Children U-12 free, when accompanied by adult.
