One of Ireland's oldest thatched cottages, Abbeyview Cottage has recently been renovated to the highest standard. This quaint Irish cottage, in Portlaoise County Laois, is now a luxury four star self catering home.
The cottage can sleep up to five guests in three bedrooms. These bedrooms consist of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom. There is also a cot for guests use if required. Two of the bedroom's are ensuite and there is also a shared bathroom. Additional facilities include broadband internet access, underfloor heating, a large sitting room/parlour (with open fireplace and safe electric fire), two TVs, a DVD player and video cassette recorder. The kitchen is fully fitted and features a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.
The cottage is surrounded by a landscaped garden with a patio and raised flower beds. Bed linen and towels are supplied. Close by there are forestry walks and fishing in lakes, the canal and nearby river. the Japanese Gardens and the National Stud are also in close proximity to this property. This property is an ideal central touring location.
