An Stór Tourist Hostel is a comfortable budget accommodation found in the town of Midleton, which is located just 20km east of Cork City. The hostel’s owners, Frank and Maria Murphy, cater to groups, families and independent travellers. The building was formerly a wool store, but was refurbished and opened as a hostel in 1995. It includes self-catering and serviced kitchens as well as a free car park.
Midleton is an ideal base for visiting all the highlights of East Cork, such as Youghal, Cobh and Lismore. The area boasts miles of Blue Flag beaches, cliff walks, and golf facilities.
