Ardtarmon House is set in secluded and quiet grounds of many wooded hectares with many walks and private access to many miles of beach. There are spectacular viewing points of Sligo Bay and surrounding mountains with distant views of counties Leitrim, Mayo and Donegal.
There is an extensive fruit orchard and short rotation copppice willow is grown to supply the wood chip boiler central heating system. The farm includes cattle, sheep, potatoes, grain and vegetables.
Within 5km Lissadell House & Gardens are lcoated as well as Raghly Harbour and many scenic rural and coastal walking and cycling routes. It is a renowned area for bird watching and suring. Within 20km there are many mountains, lakes, seaside resorts, Drumclif and the regional capital, Sligo Town.
German is spoke along with some Italian and French.
