Clew Bay Cottage is a beautiful large and charming detached 4 bedroom cottage, which sleeps up to 7 persons. It is located in an exclusive enclave of five holiday cottages called Croagh Patrick Holiday Village and is situated at the foot of Croagh Patrick Mountain in the beautiful village of Murrisk, just 7km from Westport Town.
There is a very large kitchen and dining area, complete with all mod cons and a charming stove fire. There is a separate utility room with a washer and dryer. It boasts a very large lounge with a stove fire and TV & DVD. Three of the four bedrooms are en-suite and are bright, spacious and extremely comfortable. There is a main bathroom also.
The cottage boasts stunning views of Clew Bay to the front, with its own large landscaped garden and views of Croagh Patrick Mountain to the rear with a small south facing courtyard and an outdoor eating bench.
Clew Bay Cottage is within a short strolling distance of two local pubs, where visitors can enjoy great food daily. Both have live music at the weekends. The cottage is ideally situated for experiencing the many attractions and activities in the surrounding area, including walking, climbing, cycling, surfing, golfing, angling, horse riding, Westport House & Gardens and much much more. It is also an ideal base for cycling the wonderful Great Western Greenway or touring the surrounding countryside of Connemara, Achill Island, Knock, Clifden, Leenane and the unspoilt West Mayo coastline.
The National Famine Memorial 'The Famine Ship' and Murrisk Abbey are also located in Murrisk Village, just minutes walk from Clew Bay Cottage. There is a great selection of fabulous Blue Flag and Green Flag beaches in short driving distance and a shingle beach within walking distance. There are also fabulous walks in the immediate and surrounding areas, not to mention climbing Croagh Parick Mountain literally on your doorstep!
