Kiltale Holiday Homes are six award-winning, self-catering properties found in the Boyne Valley near Trim and Dunshaughlin. Set on Kiltale Farm, which has many animals as well as a playground and playhouse, the holiday homes are ideal for a family vacation in County Meath. They provide a free, hands-on farm experience as well as an oasis of calm where guests can walk through green fields and listen to the everyday sounds of a working farm.
The accommodation options vary in size, with the ability to sleep three to eight guests. Each is furnished to a very high standard with all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay and some extras, too.
Guests are greeted with tea and homemade baking on arrival. During their stay, they have access to the farm and its friendly animals, including goats, lambs, donkeys, ponies, cattle, ducks and chicks. Kiltale also offers on-site art classes, English lessons and a farm summer camp for children.
Further afield visitors will find a host of historical attractions and outdoor activities, and the owners are happy to assist in holiday planning. Highlights of the region include Trim Castle, Newgrange and the Hill of Tara. There are world-renowned golf courses, including Kileen Castle and the K Club. Dublin City is also easily accessible via bus and car.
