Lord Edward

The Lord Edward was built in the mid-eighteenth century and was formerly known as the Leinster Lodge. This historic house has been reimagined into a 20 room accommodation offering bed and breakfast. All rooms are ensuite with tea- and coffee-making facilities and TV. Special rates can be offered for group bookings.

The Lord Edward is located off the main M7 motorway at Junction 13, standing beside the Silken Thomas Bar, Lounge and Chapter 16 Restaurant and offers free secure parking.

The Lord Edward is situated beside a Norman castle in Kildare town which was, in the thirteenth century, one of the most important castles in Leinster, ranking with the castles at Kilkenny, Carlow and Ferns. The Lord Edward is close to all local amenities including golf, fishing, the Japanese Gardens, National Stud, Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park. Famous Racecourses including the Curragh, Naas, and Punchestown are only a short distance from Kildare. Kildare Outlet Village is also within close proximity.

The Lord Edward offers a high quality service with ensuite accommodation and comfort.
