While staying at the Westlodge Hotel and Estate, people can enjoy a self-catering holiday at the on-site Pondlodge Cottages. These nine cottages are set in beautifully landscaped gardens in the scenic surroundings of Bantry Bay, County Cork. The hotel, which is just a short stroll away, boasts dining options, a health and leisure centre, therapeutic treatments and children’s areas. Outdoor amenities include a nine-hole golf course, hardcore tennis court, football pitch and nature trails. The amenities of the hotel are available free of charge to residents of the cottages.
There are three- and four-star cottages. Each is tastefully furnished and can accommodate five people in two bedrooms: one with a double bed and single bed, and the other with two single beds. There is also the four-star Sealodge Cottage, which stands alone on the seafront overlooking Bantry Bay and has three ensuite bedrooms. The cottage can accommodate six people. It is not recommended for families with small children.
Each cottage comes fully equipped with cooker, dishwasher, washing machine/tumbler dryer, refrigerator, electric kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board and TV.
The Pondlodge Cottages are the ideal base for touring West Cork and Kerry, with the Beara Peninsula just a short drive from the hotel. There are numerous tourist attractions nearby, such as Bantry House and Gardens, and the Sheep's Head Way walking and cycling trail. Additionally, Bantry Town provides commercial, retail and tourism/leisure facilities for locals and visitors alike.
