There are a wide variety of outdoor activities on offer in the area such as kayaking, sailing, orienteering, hill walking and rock climbing at Cappanalea Outdoor Education Centre and Outdoors Ireland. Killorglin is famous for one of Ireland’s oldest festivals, the annual Puck Fair which takes place every August. This has now developed into a three day festival with street entertainment, concerts, firework displays, a parade, traditional horse fair and of course the crowning of King Puck.
