The Blasket Island School of Art is located overlooking the Blasket Islands on the Dingle Peninsula. This unique location offers the painting student the most beautiful scenery in west Kerry. This landscape with its mountains, seascape and islands has everything to offer the painter. The changing light and unique atmosphere offers inspiration in abundance in this setting of natural beauty.
All painting tutors are highly skilled artists, are graduates in fine art and are practicing artists. Most tutors are bilingual and their languages include Irish, Welsh, German and Italian.
The school intends to offer weekend introduction courses on art therapy in 2011 under the guidance of a qualified art therapist. School trips can also be arranged, during the school year, with art teachers interested in a painting weekend.
