The Lissycasey Cascades Loop is located in the village of Lissycasey, gateway to West Clare. The loop is an easy 2.1km walk through a local beauty spot which is also part of the 30 acre Lissycasey Ecology Park.

The Lissycasey Ecology Park is home to a variety of wildlife, including the pine marten – Ireland’s rarest mammal – as well as endangered species of plants. The loop also features outdoor gym equipment for the more athletic walker!

Directions to Trailhead

Lissycasey is located on the main N68 Ennis-Kilrush Road, approximately 17km from Ennis. The trailhead is located in a community garden area beside Lissycasey Church, on the right-hand side as you approach from Ennis. Road-side parking is available in the vicinity.

From the trail head, take the second turn onto a minor road which leads up a hill towards the woodlands. Turn left onto the forest track where indicated and follow the red directional arrows to complete the loop.
