Scholars Restaurant at Scholars Townhouse Hotel, awarded Best Hotel Restaurant, County Louth 2013 is a fine dining restaurant located in the historic town of Drogheda. The McGowan family and their team have created a setting that is homely yet old world, with hand painted ceiling frescoes of the historic Battle of the Boyne, oak panelled walls and open fire places giving a feeling of comfort and warmth. The service is professional yet non-intrusive.

Open seven days per week, serving breakfast, lunch and evening meals. The a la carte menu incorporates a variety of classic dishes from seafood bouillabaisse, lobster platters, fillet steak béarnaise and Greenore whiskey chicken. Head Chef David Kelly and his esteemed culinary team concentrate on local produce with a European twist. The bar compliments the restaurant with the well crafted cocktail and wine lists, an array of speciality coffees and an extensive whiskey selection.

The building dates back to 1867 and is of Victorian style. Recently awarded best presented premises, Beauty of The Boyne 2013 by the Drogheda Borough Council makes this an ideal venue for any occasion.

It is our belief that food is one of life's great pleasures, it should be celebrated, and guests are welcome to come dine with us at Scholars.
