Burren Slow Food Festival

15 - Sunday 17 May 2020

At this longest running Slow Food festival in Ireland, well-known chefs will give cookery demos, and experts in the field of sustainability and food will come to the festival in Lisdoonvarna to share their knowledge and answer questions relating to this year's festival motto of "Sustainability and (Food) Development".

On Saturday and Sunday, an artisan food producers' and crafts market with a very wide variety of products and produce will allow the festival-goers to discover new tastes and dishes, beautiful crafts and... chocolates.

A pop-up café (run by Stonecutters Kitchen near the Cliffs of Moher) will provide homemade cakes and savoury lunches for a culinary break in the Pavilion where the festival will be held.

As in previous years, the festival will start on Friday with a very special evening trip to the Aran Islands for a seafood dinner before heading back to the main land on a fast ferry.

It is greatly recommended to make a weekend out of it as there is so much to take in, taste and learn during the festival. Not to forget exploring the magnificent limestone landscape of the Burren and the soaring Cliffs of Moher, and eating your way through all the high-class eateries in Lisdoonvarna and nearby.
