Visual Arts Festivals

29 May - Monday 1 June 2020

K-FEST returns for 2020, hosting over 10,000 visitors to Killorglin Co. Kerry during the June Bank Holiday weekend. This gem of a festival continues to grow in both scale and popularity every year, and has proven time and time again to have its finger on the pulse when it comes to emerging art in Ireland. K-FEST promotes culture across a range of art forms and has become one of the jewels in the arts calendar crown.

The vibrant arts festival is dedicated to delivering the new — new music, new artists, and new life into old buildings. K-FEST strives to introduce their audience to art forms in unique and intimate settings. One of the most fascinating aspects of K-FEST is how the town of Killorglin itself becomes the festival’s canvas. K-FEST takes over the unoccupied and deserted spaces in the town for the weekend, transforming them into bespoke pop-up galleries and venues. It’s an incredible use of unloved spaces, and creates intimate contexts at no cost to eventgoers. Most of K-FEST’s high-quality artistic programme is entirely free to the public as a result.

K-FEST 20/20 promises to have something to excite everyone with their most ambitious programme to date. Over four days of the June Bank Holiday weekend, K-FEST will host more than 60 events in addition to a gallery trail and an array of multi-disciplinary exhibitions. You’ll find everything from interactive live art installations to theatrical shows and spoken word performances. K-FEST takes place from Friday 29 May to Monday 1 June 2020.

K-FEST acknowledges the financial support of Kerry County Council, the Arts Council, FEXCO and many other generous sponsors, patrons, and donors in making our festival possible.
