Kilkenny Ink

23 - Sunday 25 February 2018
Venue: Various Kilkenny City Locations

Kilkenny Ink is a festival of visual storytelling, hosted by Cartoon Saloon, that takes place across a variety of venues around Kilkenny City.

Cartoon Saloon are a locally based animation studio who have been nominated twice for Oscars with their films, The Secret of Kells, and, more recently, Song of the Sea. They are assembling an amazing line-up of speakers and activities for this new festival.

Join some of the world's finest animators, cartoonists and illustrators for a weekend of fascinating events about all elements of the visual creation. Featured in the line-up are screenings of animated films, an exhibition of cartoons and illustrations, workshops for professionals and beginners. There is also going to be a helping of stand-up comedy, dance, and live graffiti displays.

To top it all off, there’s a going to be talks from the likes of cartoonist Nick Galifianakis, Speedbump creator Dave Coverly, Sligo illustrator Annie West and Sweden artist Mattias Adolfsson.

It’s truly a line-up not to miss, and one that will inspire the illustrators and cartoonists of the future.
