Abbeyview House Bed and Breakfast is located on the outskirts of Abbeyshrule. The house is a period property which was built in the mid 1800s and was later used as a Garda barracks. It is now a family home on a small working farm of cattle, sheep, horses and hens. It has been restored but has retained many original features.
There are many things to do within walking distance of the property, such as fishing in the River Inny which boasts trout, pike, bream, roach and tench to name but a few. Take in the scenery along the different walkways, such as the Royal Canal Way, Bog Walk and the River Inny Walk.
Other local attractions and areas of interest are Corlea Trackway Visitor Centre, Hill of Uisneach, Knights and Conquests Heritage Centre, Tullynally Castle and Gardens, Lough Ree, Ardagh Heritage and Creativity Centre and New Castle Forest.
