Welcome to Ard na Gaoithe, the southernmost B&B in Ireland, your gateway to the Fastnet Rock.
All bedrooms are on the ground floor and en suite, cosy, warm and well appointed. The garden is a cottage style garden well known for its abundance of flowers, planted and managed to assist pollinators. It is a privilege to live in such a beautiful place and would like to ensure it stays that way for future generations.
When you arrive you will be welcomed by family, offered a welcome tea with scones (before 6pm) and are happy to give you information about the island. Breakfast will be a feast and special diets can be catered for if you let us know in advance of your arrival.
Getting here is so easy, just hop on the local minibus that meets all the incoming ferries and for a small fee per person they will drop you to the door, (bus: 086-3836759).
Ard na Gaoithe is a quiet, peaceful home, where you can fall under the spell of island magic, spend some time in nature, hiking, wild swimming, fishing, whale watching, visiting the Fastnet Rock, bird watching and stargazing or attending any of the many cultural events here including the renowned Cape Clear Storytelling festival.
Ard na Gaoithe have two pet dogs Bonnie and Max both are very friendly and are part of the family, sadly that means that there is not any spare accommodation for your pet at the moment.
