Buttermilk Lodge Guesthouse has stunning mountain views, all modern conveniences, real turf fires, home baking, an extensive breakfast menu, private car parking, walking and cycling guides and lots of local information provided and many extras.

Guests receive complimentary tea, coffee and homemade cake on arrival. There is WiFi access throughout and a computer and printer for guest use. The guest lounge is open to guests at all times, with a real turf fire, original art, books and games. Early breakfasts, laundry and drying facilities, collection from the bus and packed lunches are all available. Children over five years old are welcome.

Cathriona & Pat have Connemara Ponies and Connemara Sheep for guests to visit on their farm nearby if they wish. Situated five minutes walk from Clifden where there are excellent restaurants, pubs, galleries and shops. Pat is a qualified walking guide and there are numerous walks in the area for which they have lots of guides and suggestions. Connemara National Park, numerous beaches, Kylemore Abbey, Omey Island, Inishbofin, the Twelve Bens and Maumtuks Mountains, heritage sites and islands are local attractions.
