In the middle of the southern coast between Cork and Waterford, the river Blackwater opens up into a large bay and then narrows before opening out to the ocean. On one side of the bay on a steep hill is the historic town of Youghal. On the other side are green open hills and cattle fields of Kinsalebeg where Keane’s Cottage is tucked away.
Keane’s Cottage offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is also a large kitchen, dining room and living room. Keane’s Cottage is equipped with all modern conveniences including a stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer, microwave and internet. The cottage offers it’s own wonderful Irish experience and was fully restored from a ruin. The cottage is decorated tastefully with antiques and is quite spacious.
The Carriage House is on the same property as Keane’s Cottage but is a smaller, but very comfortable accommodation offering two bedrooms: one with a European King size bed (US Queen) and a smaller bedroom with a single bed. There is also a nice size kitchen, living room and dining area. The Carriage House is equipped with all modern conveniences including a stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer, microwave, and internet. It has lovely French windows that look out to a wonderful Maple Tree and the cattle fields of Kinsalebeg and a glimmer of the bay. The Carriage House offers it’s own Irish experience and was fully restored from a ruin. Please also see Keane’s Cottage.
