Killarney International Youth Hostel is situated on the Ring of Kerry Road, Killarney, which has stunning views of mountains and lakes. The 18th century mansion, which is set on 75 acres of gardens and forests, caters to school groups, couples, families and solo travellers.
The hostel overlooks the mountains surrounding Killarney National Park in County Kerry and it is very popular with both Irish and overseas visitors and groups who keep coming back to enjoy the tranquil rural environment and spectacular views over the mountains and the Killarney lakes. It is a great base to use to tour around the Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula and Dingle Peninsula.
The Killarney International Hostel is fully equipped with modern facilities but it retains the charm and character of an historic building in peaceful, rural surroundings. It has a well-equipped self-catering kitchen and dining room. Breakfast, lunch and dinner can be provided for guests, just ask. For groups of 10 or more meals can be provided at reasonable prices.
There is also a lounge with open fire and games. Bed linen, WiFi and parking are included. Located beside the Killarney International Youth Hostel is The Lodge which sleeps 40 people in ten, four-bed dorm rooms. This is ideal for groups, especially when accommodation is required for a private get together.
The hostel is open from March to October for all and from November to February for groups of 10 or more. Killarney Hostel aims to run the hostel in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
