Built in 1905 the Post Office was run by the Lehane/Coughlan family until it closed in 1994. The property has been completely restored keeping all the original unique features of the Tudor architecture intact for guest enjoyment and comfort.

The Old Post Office comprises of three bedrooms upstairs and two reception rooms (one with a double sofa bed), reading nook, kitchen/dining room, utility room, two bathrooms (one upstairs/one downstairs). The downstairs bathroom boasts a free standing bathtub and a large extravagant shower unit. All rooms are decorated to reflect the character and old style of the post office as it was many years ago.

The Old Post Office is at the entrance to St Mary's Cistercian Abbey, Glencairn and a five minute drive to the heritage and tourist town of Lismore. It is also a five minute drive to the village of Ballyduff which is renowned for its salmon fishing in the River Blackwater. Glencairn is ideally situated for its close proximity to the towns of Youghal, Fermoy and Dungarvan. The Waterford Greenway is a 20 minute drive away.
