Also within an hour's drive are many historic and family fun centres including Glenveagh National Park, the Ulster American Folk Park, Fort Dunree Military Museum and much more.
The cottage itself overlooks one of the oldest golf courses in Ireland, Otway Golf Club. Otway Cottage is also on route to many of the most scenic drives in the Northwest including the famous Knockalla/Fanad Head Drive and the Atlantic Drive.
