Woodfield Inn nestles under the wonderful Ox mountains, only four miles from Ballisodare County Sligo.
Established pre 1775, this is an ideal location for touring the North West and taking in the breath taking sights it has to offer.
Guests can sit in the main bar, that serves bar snacks in the evening, or relax in the conservatory lounge while enjoying views of the Ox Mountains, from where they take the unique names of the guest rooms.
All bedrooms are well furnished, with theromostaticlly controlled under floor heating, hair dryer, trouser press, televisions and ensuite bathrooms. Each room is individually decorated to give a sense of space, warmth and colour, with personal touches contributing to the inviting feel of the property Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor and are fitted to accommodate less able guests. The property also has private gardens for our patrons use.
Breakfast menu includes full Irish breakfast and Carol's brown bread and the bed and breakfast and bar are wheelchair friendly.
There are numerous nearby local attractions such as Carrowmore Megalithic Tombs, Sligo Town, Lough Gill and Yeats Country. For golfers there are four golf courses within a 25 minute drive of Woodfield including Enniscrone and Strandhill. If you want to try your hand at salmon fishing there is the nearby Ballisodare River.
