Following in the footsteps of Saint Columbanus, ‘THE COLUMBAN WAY’ is a pilgrim trail along his journey taken during the 5th and early 6th century from his home parish of Myshall in the foothills of the Blackstairs Mountains

The 2023 'Columban Way' Annual Walk' incorporates the picturesque villages of Ballymurphy and Rathanna providing a unique opportunity to approach Mount Leinster from the south of County Carlow The walk winds its way along quiet country roads for a total distance of 25km long with rest stops at Rathanna village and at the Nine Stones viewing point.

Registration take place in Myshall Community Centre 09.00. Bus transfer to starting point in Ballymurphy 09:30 (Sharp). Walk commences 10:00.

Stage 1 - Ballymurphy to Rathanna 7.5km 1.5-2 Hrs

Stage 2 - Rathanna to Nine Stones 7km 1.5-2 Hrs

Stage 3 - Nine Stones to Myshall 10km 1.5-2 Hrs
