Burren Slow Food Festival

The Burren Slow Food Festival 2022 will see the launch of the GEOfood initiative in the Burren Geopark, and it will be a celebration of the Ukrainian food culture.

The festival will open on Friday 20th May with the already sold-out seafood supper on Inis Oírr.

On Saturday 21 May the festival will host the farmers’ market and see the launch of “GEOfood”, a brand for food produced in UNESCO Global Geoparks.

Free tastings and talks by local food and GEOfood producers will be facilitated by Ireland’s top food journalists John & Sally McKenna and Leslie Williams.

On Saturday evening, Burren Slow Food Banquet, a 6-course tasting menu with the flavours of Burren GEOfood from Waygu, oysters, St. Tola goats’ cheese to smoked salmon. Pre-booking is essential - see Eventbrite.

On Sunday 22 May tribute will be paid to Ukraine with a cookery demos by chef Jess Murphy and Niamh Fox.
