Based in County Clare in the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way, Go Gaelic is an essential activity for all visitors to Ireland. However, with several venues throughout Clare as well as Galway and Limerick cities, our mobile unit can also bring the Go Gaelic Experience to you.

Go Gaelic was formed in 2011 by lifelong friends Eoin Brennan and Eoin Vaughan to offer an insight into Ireland’s national sports of Hurling and Gaelic Football and have since introduced thousands of participants to these unique and immediately identifiable games.

Gaelic Games, as they are collectively known, are arguably Ireland’s most treasured and unparalleled cultural offerings, yet remain under the radar to most visitors to our shores.

For the uninitiated, Hurling and Gaelic Football are amateur team games that are as spectacular to watch as they are compelling to play, such is the passion and intensity involved.

Hurling is a stick-based ball game that is one of the oldest, fastest and most skilful field games in the world (the ball can travel up to speeds of 180kph) while Gaelic Football is played without sticks and uses a bigger ball that is kicked for scores.

Gaelic Games are the lifeblood of every community and provide a real sense of local pride and identity for Irish people and you too can experience these games by visiting Go Gaelic, or alternatively inviting the Go Gaelic team to come to you via their mobile unit.

Don’t let your Irish adventure pass by without experiencing its most iconic and celebrated cultural secret.

Discover Ireland’s unique sports for yourself.
