The River Middle Lee is the section of the river above the Old Gearagh Forest at the upper end of Carrigadrohid Reservoir in County Cork. It holds small numbers of brown trout and gets a run of large reservoir trout.
The River Middle Lee gets a run of large reservoir trout in late summer, which average 2 or 3lbs. This is a strong moorland river with attractive stretches above and below Drumcarra Bridge.
Methods frequently used are fly and spin and open season runs from 15 February until 12 October.
