The Atlantic Whale and Wildlife Tours bring visitors to some of the best places to see dolphins, whales and other marine wildlife off the Cork coast. The tour has featured on the Ryan Tubridy show during the show's tour of the Wild Atlantic Way.
The team have consistently brought members of the public close to some of the most sought after spectacles in the world of wildlife. Breaching humpback whales, “lunge feeding” fin whales, “spy hopping” minke whales and of course “bow riding” common dolphins can all be encountered. The area they operate in is, according to data from the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group, one of the best areas to encounter whales and dolphins in Ireland.
The tour operates all year round. They run morning and afternoon trips during the summer and morning trips only during winter months. Trips are generally between three and four hours in duration. All trips are subject to weather conditions.
Atlantic Whale and Wildlife Tours can accommodate 12 passengers per boat. The whale watching vessels “The Lady Patrica” and “The Lady Louise” are regularly inspected by the Department of Marine. They both have toilet facilities on board. Payments can be made on the day by cash. Car parking is available on and near Courtmacsherry Pier.
