There is a varied selection of horses to suit people with all levels of horse riding ability, from little Shetland ponies for the tiny tots to Connemara ponies, quiet cobs, Irish hunters, all of which are sure footed when crossing the mountain paths and willing on the beaches. For more experienced riders. ‘Donegal from the Saddle’ is a weeklong trail that explores the most north-westerly part of Ireland taking riders through an amazing variety of terrain, high into the mountains, galloping over isolated beaches and meandering through regions where Irish is still the first language.
