The Festival's inspiration is Frances Browne who was, at one time, the best-known writer of fairy tales in the British Isles and much of the world.
Ranging across poetry, prose, music, talks, family events, workshops for children & teenagers, the festival is all about encouraging local and international literary talent in Irish, English and Ulster Scots.
One of the highlights of the Festival is the Multilingual Poetry Competition.
The key-note speaker at this year’s Festival is the Donegal poet - Annemarie Ní Churreáin - who will be leading writing workshops.
This event is supported by Donegal County Council, Creative Ireland, Finn Valley Voice, Ballybofey Stranorlar Chamber of Commerce, Balor Arts Centre.
