Discovery and signature points
Narin and Portnoo Beach is located approximately 2km from the village of Portnoo, County Donegal. With almost 2km of fine, white sand and safe water it is the ideal place for bathing or walking.

Within a designated natural heritage area, exhibiting a highly diverse range of both coastal and terrestrial habitats, Narin is a Blue Flag beach along the Atlantic coast of Ireland. It is set in a cove and with the welcome protection of Dunmore Head, is relatively sheltered.

During the bathing season, which runs from June until the end of August, the beach is attended by a lifeguard. There are toilet facilities nearby and ample parking is also available. Local shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance and there are three well maintained caravan sites nearby.
