The Pettigoe Lakes in County Donegal are a mixed fishery well known for coarse fishing, mostly roach, perch, bream and pike. There are also very good stocks of brown trout.
Drumgun Lough is located just two kilometres west of Pettigo. It holds good stocks of bream hybrids, roach, rudd and perch and there are also brown trout present through fly fishing.
Bannus Lake is located 2.5km from Pettigo and is a well-established fishery which holds stocks of bream, roach, perch and brown trout.
Lough Aveghy holds stocks of pike, perch, roach and brown trout. The lough is fished from the shore only.
Lough Derg is located about 6km north of Pettigoe and is more well known as a pilgrimage area than for its fishing. It holds stocks of pike, perch and brown trout.
